I write poetry, short stories, and novels. My current novel Dark Medicine is about a young african american male and his trials growing up in the south in a fictional town somewhere around New Orleans. Its a blend of traditional deep south culture, hip hop culture, and the shaping of the human spirit. I don't think you will find another book like it on the market right now and it is meant to make you laugh, think, and hopefully give you deeper insight into the human spirit.

I began writing the book in medical school and it has shaped itself as I have shaped my spirit and character. It is a part of me as any work of art is a reflection of the vision of the artist. It has taken 5 years to finish and I must admit I am proud of it. I think you will like it as well. Some examples of my poetry are at www.aalbc.com My other writing credits include 3 or 4 poems published in different anthologies as well as poetry published in poetry magazines in europe. I have to thank all the performance poets in the new orleans area who are some very talented people.Shout to POZAZZ and EBONY SQUARE where the spoken word drops like butter off a buscuit.
